Gunns Plains Gunns Plains

Gunns Plains is a scenic farming area.
Featuring vineyards, dairy, and hop farms,
as well as the Tasmanian Reptile Centre, and Wing's Farm Park

Gunns Plains Caves Gunns Plains Caves
Home to some of the largest limestone shawl formations
in the Southern Hemisphere.
Featuring an underground stream and glow-worm display
the caves are a delight to behold.
Guided tours take approx. 40 minutes and are conducted daily at
10am, 11am, 12noon, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

Levon Canyon Leven Canyon

A 250m-deep ravine, the Leven Canyon is a spectacular sight.
From the enchanting picnic area, follow the rainforest walk
to the cliff-face viewing platform and gaze at the breathtaking scenery.

Cradle Mountain Cradle Mountain
Tasmania's most recognisable landmark is the craggy profile of Cradle Mountain. On the park boundary is the visitor centre with its interpretive display, ranger station, park information, walker registration and up-to-date weather reports. There are many superb short walks from the centre and the Dove Lake car park, 14 km further on. It is also the northern gateway to the Overland Track linking Cradle Valley to Lake St Clair, 4 - 5 days walk.

The Stanley Nut The Nut and Stanley
The historic village of Stanley is nestled at the base of The Nut, a sheer-sided bluff on Circular Head. A walking track climbs to the summit of The Nut, or take the chairlift, with its spectacular views across Bass Strait beaches and over the town. See seals, penguins, sea birds and other wildlife close to Stanley local operators offer a range of observation tours. Also visit historic Highfield House, overlooking Stanley and The Nut.

Devonport has a number of interesting attractions close to the City Centre including aboriginal rock engravings, a maritime museum which traces the history of the region dating back from white settlement, and a 7 km cycle/walking track which extends around the picturesque foreshore from the City past the Olympic Swimming Pool to the historic Don River Railway.

This Devonport museum features Tasmanian's largest collection of steam locomotives and carriages. Vintage Trains running hourly, and a Steam Train runs on Sundays and Public Holidays. Open 9.00am to 4.30pm daily throughout the year (except Christmas Day and Good Friday).
